Wimbledon Betting Guide

Wimbledon Betting Guide

Wimbledon kicks-off on Monday July 1st with the World famous tennis Championships running until the Mens Singles Finals is contested on Centre Court on Sunday July 14th.

Wimbledon is one of four Grand Slam tournaments held throughout the year and is arguably one of the biggest betting events on the tennis calendar for most UK punters.

As well as the best Wimbledon odds, we've also got Wimbledon betting tips and compiled all of the free bets that you can get your hands on when taking advantage of the signup offers.

Bookmakers have also started to launch tennis related promotions, which is why we created this Wimbledon betting guide to make it easier for you to compare betting offers and odds.

These specials usually include moneyback offers on tennis betting markets, as well as generous price boosts on the tournament or individual matches.

Another reason for Brits to get excited over this Wimbledon is the fact that there's a slim chance that we could have a representative in both the Mens and Ladies Finals.

Andy Murray will be a contender if he recovers from his hip surgery and Johanna Konta is in good form having won 3 titles on the WTA Tour and 11 titles on the ITF Women's Circuit.

However both defending champions, Novak Djokovic and Angelique Kerber, are still amongst the favourites to win Wimbledon at all of the best bookmakers for betting on the tournament.

Wimbledon: Mens Singles Odds

We've listed bookmakers best odds for the top 10 favourites for the Wimbledon Mens Singles betting market. Check out our Mens betting guide if you're going to bet on the winner.

NB: Wimbledon odds correct at 07:12 on 01/07/2019 and are subject to change.

Mens Singles Betting Guide

With the qualifying rounds of the 133rd Wimbledon tournament well underway, it’s time to take a look at which players bookmakers offer as favourites to win the Mens Singles title.

Since 2003 only 4 players have actually won the Men’s tournament, with Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal, Roger Federer and Andy Murray securing the last 16 competition titles.

Reigning champion Novak Djokovic is the bookmakers favourite to win Wimbledon while 8 time winner Roger Federer and World No. 2 Rafael Nadal are also top contenders.

As the oldest and most prestigious tennis tournament in the World get’s underway, our guide to betting on Wimbledon will focus on the top 5 player’s form, and how likely they are to win.

Make sure you also check out the official Wimbledon TV Schedule to see which stations or streaming services are broadcasting the World famous tennis tournament in your region.

Novak Djokovic

Ranked No. 1 in the World, it’s easy to see why British Bookmakers offer the Serbian player as the favourite to win the Wimbledon Mens Singles competition.

The 4 time Wimbledon winner and current champion comes to the tournament having captured his 7th Australian Open and looks to be in strong form ahead of its start on July 1st.

An early exit in the Semi-Finals of the French Open won’t have dampened his spirit, and bookmakers clearly expect Djokovic to be one of the main contenders to reach the Final.

After a long season on clay, Djokovic missed Queen’s and Halle in order to take a rest, but has been training on grass in the lead up to his first Wimbledon match, and looks fresh.

Roger Federer

The current World No. 3, holds the record for winning the most Wimbledon titles, with 8 trophy’s under his belt, and is back looking to snatch another Wimbledon victory from his rivals.

Federer won Wimbledon in 2017, and the Australian Open in both 2017 and 2018, but hasn’t been as successful in any of the recent Grand Slam tennis tournaments.

Unfortunately Federer went out of the 2019 Australian Open in the 4th round, and only made it to the Semi-Finals in the French Open earlier this year.

In saying that, he has however won 3 titles so far in 2019 and comes into the Wimbledon tennis championships on the back of his 10th Halle title victory.

He also won the ATP Masters 1000 Miami and Dubai, and is still a strong contender for the 2019 Wimbledon title at all of the online bookmakers that we feature.

Rafael Nadal

The Spanish player is currently ranked No. 2 in the World, and heads into the Wimbledon tournament in top form having won the French Open earlier in the year.

Nadal also made it to the Finals in the Australian Open, only to be beaten by Djokovic, and he will be determined not to lose to the Serbian again at Wimbledon.

Nadal has had a lot of success over recent years, but hasn’t actually managed to take a Wimbledon Single’s title since back in 2010 when he beat Thomas Berdych.

Rafael can't be ruled out, he is 3rd favourite after all, but given his previous form on grass, bookmakers may just miss price him if he decides to surprise everyone this time around.

Stefanos Tsitsipas

The 20 year old Greek player is currently ranked No. 6 in the World, and bookmakers offer him as one of the leading contenders for this years Wimbledon title.

Although Tsitsipas made it to the last 4 of the Australian Open earlier in the year, landing the Wimbledon title might be a big ask of the young player at this stage of his career.

In saying that, Tsitsipas has 2 titles under his belt in 2019, having won at Estoril and Marseille, and if he continues to display this form, there’s no saying how far he could go.

Currently 4th favourite at most bookmakers at the time of writing, Tsitsipas could be worth a punt as his odds are extremely generous compared to the top 3 favourites listed above.

Alexander Zverev

The last of the top 5 players that we're featuring in our Wimbledon betting guide is Germany's Alexander Zverev, currently ranked as the 5th best tennis player in the World.

Although he has never won a Grand Slam title, his performance is consistently improving, with Zverev making it to the Quarter-Finals of the French Open for the 2nd year in a row.

He also recently beat Djokovic in the ATP finals in London, and so has more than proven himself strong enough against some of the top contender to win Wimbledon.

Zverev also secured a victory in Geneva, and the highly rated German is definitely one to keep an eye on for this year’s Wimbledon title especially at his current betting odds.

Wimbledon: Ladies Singles Odds

We've listed bookmakers best odds for the top 10 favourites for the Wimbledon Ladies Singles betting market. Check out our Ladies betting guide if you're going to bet on the winner.

NB: Wimbledon odds correct at 07:14 on 01/07/2019 and are subject to change.

Ladies Singles Betting Guide

And now it's time for our Wimbledon betting guide to focus on the Ladies Singles tournament which begins on July 1st, and culminates on Centre Court in the final on July 13th.

Bookmakers have already picked their favourites to take the Ladies Singles title, and with some new players in the mix, it's set to be one of the most exciting tournaments in quite a while.

Reigning Ladies Singles champion Angelique Kerber is back to defend her title, while other previous winners Serna Williams and Petra Kvitova are amongst the bookmakers favourites.

Newly crowned No. 1 seed Ashleigh Barty is still the player most likely to triumph on July 13th however Naomi Osaka and Petra Kvitova may also be worth a bet at 3rd and 4th favourite.

With so much at stake, our betting guide for Wimbledon will take a look at the top contender’s for the Ladies title's form, and who to back if you’re having a punt on the tournament.

Ashleigh Barty

The new World No. 1 player Ashleigh Barty heads into Wimbledon as the favourite at all of the British Bookmakers we feature, having won 3 WTA singles titles so far this year.

The 23 year old much loved Australian spectacularly took the title at Roland Garros in May when she beat World No. 16 Markéta Vondroušová in straight sets, 6-1 6-3.

Following that victory, Ashleigh Barty went on to secure another victory at Birmingham in June, having already secured a title in Miami earlier in the year in March.

She looks like she could very well win the Ladies Singles title at Wimbledon this year, but will need to rest up after she had to withdraw from Eastbourne with an arm injury.

Bookmakers offer pretty short odds on the Australian to win the title, and if she can maintain the form she showed before her injury, she'll definitely be a force to reckon with!

Serena Williams

Serena Williams returns to this years Wimbledon tournament as the No. 11 seed after a couple of years plagued by injury and also pregnancy-induced problems.

Having won the 2015 and 2016 Wimbledon tournament, Serena lost out in the 2018 Final to Angelique Kerber, and will no doubt be determined to once again challenge for the title.

Serena Williams has 7 Wimbledon titles under her belt, with most British Bookmakers offering her as 2nd favourite to win the Womens Singles tournament behind Ashleigh Barty.

While Serena is a solid player who's proven herself over many years and is more that capable of winning in the toughest of conditions, she hasn’t had the best run lately.

She's actually exited in Round 32 in her last 4 competitions at Roland Garros, Rome, Miami and Indian Wells and losing in the Australian Open Quarter Finals prior to that.

Naomi Osaka

The Japanese 21 year old currently holds the No. 2 ranked spot, having taken the 2019 Australian Open title earlier this year and also the US Open title in 2018.

Unfortunately Naomi Osaka has had quite a few ups and downs recently and her performances haven't been as consistent as she's demonstrated in previous outings.

Despite exiting the French Open in the 3rd round, and only making it to the Quarter-Finals in Rome and Madrid, and the Semi-Finals in Stuttgart, Osaka is still 3rd favourite.

Osaka suffered a shock defeat at the Birmingham Nature Valley Classic in the 2nd round, and will really need to bring her A game if she wants to be in with a chance of winning Wimbledon.

Naomi Osaka may actually be worth a bet if she shows the form that she demonstrated at Wimbledon in 2017 and 2018 and bookmakers betting odds are favourable.

Petra Kvitova

Petra Kvitova made it to the Finals of the Australian Open recently, where she lost out to Naomi Osaka, however the No. 6 seed then went on to achieve victory in Stuttgart in April.

The 29 year old Czech superstar already holds 2 Wimbledon titles, when she beat Maria Sharapova in 2011 and Eugenie Bouchard in 2014, but hasn’t any Grand Slam wins since.

Although Kvitova has made it to 3 Finals in recent tournaments, unfortunately she lost out in all of them.

A victory in the Ladies Singles tournament at Wimbledon would not only put an end to her losing run, but also give Kvitova her first major Grand Slam title since 2014.

Kvitova is currently 4th favourite to win Wimbledon at most of the online bookmakers we feature although betting odds are very similar to 3rd favourite, Naomi Osaka.

Angelique Kerber

The No. 5 seeded reigning Ladies Champion heads to Wimbledon with hopes or retaining her title, and although Kerber hasn’t been as successful of late, she's still a strong contender.

Having made it to he Finals at Indian Wells, she lost to Bianca Andreescu, and the most success she's had recently was making it to the Semi-Finals in Monterrey, Doha and Mallorca.

We know that Germany's Kerber is capable of playing well, as she recently proved by beating Serena Williams in the Wimbledon Final, but based on recent form, she may struggle.

Currently 5th favourite to win the Ladies Single tournament at Wimbledon at most bookmakers, Kerber might just prove to be a profitable punt should she play well as well as last year.

Wimbledon Betting Tips

One of the best betting tips for Wimbledon is to focus your attention on the style of play that most suites the grass surface. When picking players to bet on for Wimbledon, it's good to look at those that excel at serve and volleying as well as playing well from the baseline.

Players that are exceptionally good at both have traditionally had an advantage at Wimbledon due to grass giving the ball a slightly irregular bounce.

Most tipsters that offer Wimbledon betting tips tend to offer very similar advice. Players that are able to serve strongly, ie fast and accurately, have a much better track record at Wimbledon than those that don't.

By consistently serving well, these players protect their own service games and are more likely to be able to break the opponents serve due to their skill at the back of the court - players like Pete Sampras (7 wins) and Roger Federer (8 wins).

Another key attribute when thinking about tips for betting on Wimbledon is the physical side of the game as matches between similar class players tend to take longer to resolve on grass than they do on clay or hard courts.

In fact, four out of the five longest tennis matches ever played were on grass and so being seriously fit is a key attribute when deciding which players to bet on at Wimbledon.

Mens Betting Tips

When looking at the Mens betting market, it's clear that Novak Djokovic and Roger Federer are top contenders in the competition as both possess the key traits of a Wimbledon winner.

Rafael Nadal, although clearly a great tennis player, does seem to struggle when it comes to playing on grass as he's not made the Final since 2011. His record at Wimbledon is also the least impressive out of all of British Bookmakers top four favourites.

Bookmakers betting odds for the favourites to win Wimbledon are never going to generate big wins for you and so it's worth looking at alternative players if you want to find good value odds.

A good tip is to look into players that are just below bookmakers top 4 or 5 favourites, ie players like Alexander Zverev, Dominic Thiem or Marin Cilic.

All players offer a great opportunity of winning big due to their higher odds than the likes of Novak Djokovic or Roger Federer do - even when using free bets to place your bet.

Marin Cilic is worth checking out as he reached the Wimbledon Final just a couple of years ago and has appeared in the competitions Quarter-Finals in four out of the past six Championships.

Ladies Betting Tips

When it comes to betting tips for the Wimbledon Ladies market, historically it's been hard to look past the style of play adopted by the likes of all-time greats Martina Navratilova, Steffi Graf and both of the Williams sisters who've won on 12 occasions between them.

Serena Williams (7 wins and currently ranked 10th) is the only player still competing at that same level with 5 times winner Venus William's currently ranked 44th in the World.

The Wimbledon Ladies tournament had opened up a little in recent years with the emergence of Garbiñe Muguruza and Angelique Kerber; previous winners in 2017 and 2018.

Ashleigh Barty is another player that's really upped her game and is currently the bookmakers favourite to win the Ladies Singles tournament and as such, her odds aren't that attractive.

Much the same as the Mens tournament, a good betting tip for Wimbledon when it comes to the Ladies competition is to research the players that also excel at the serve and volleying game and sit just outside bookmakers top 4 favourites.

This includes players like Petra Kvitova, Simona Halep, Naomi Osaka and the current British number one Johanna Konta (who represented Australia up until 2012).

Naomi Osaka is currently No. 1 in the WTA Rankings, and due to the fact that bookmakers haven't seen her tested too much on grass, her odds are quite attractive.

Johanna Konta is currently ranked 24th, but was No. 4 in the World Rankings in July of 2017 and has appeared in the Semi-Finals of the Australian Open, Wimbledon and the French Open

Wimbledon: 2018

Wimbledon, one of the oldest and most prestigious tennis tournaments in the world, has finally begun and we’re already seeing some fantastic tennis being played.

There have also been some spectacular upsets on day 1 as Stan Wawrinka was knocked out by Daniil Medvedev, while Nick Kyrgios retired due to a hip injury.

The Wimbledon tennis championships taking place in SW19 run through until Sunday 16th July, when the Men’s singles finals take place on centre court.

Our Wimbledon betting guide has taken a look at the favourites for the Mens Singles tournament, alongside which bookmakers offer the best odds and signup offers.

ROGER FEDERER - Federer is without a doubt the bookmakers favourite coming into the start of the tournament. The 7 times Wimbledon champion has had a strong season, having already won The Australian Open.

Even though Federer is 35, a lot older than most competitors vying for the biggest trophy in UK tennis, there’s no way you should rule him out of another Wimbledon victory.

Coral offer the best odds on Federer winning Wimbledon at 9/4.

RAFAEL NADAL - Nadal may have had a couple of turbulent years, but the Spaniard looks in good form, having secured a French Open win and making it to the final of the Australian Open.

Although Nadal hasn’t made it to a Wimbledon final since as far back as 2011, he’s a very strong contender based on his recent performances despite Wimbledon being played on grass.

If you’re betting on Nadal to win, Ladbrokes offer the best odds at 4/1.

NOVAK DJOKOVIC - Three times Wimbledon winner Djokovic is another top contender with most bookmakers to take the Wimbledon Mens single trophy.

He hasn’t been as strong this year, after suffering a 6-0 loss in The French Open, but the Serbian is still one of the best players and could easily take a 4th Wimbledon victory.

If you’re betting on Djokovic, SportingBet offer the best odds at 5/1.

ANDY MURRAY - Defending British champion Murray is also one of British Bookmakers favourites to do well on home turf in the upcoming Wimbledon Championships.

Murray had been struggling with injuries, but has been working hard to overcome them, and had a fantastic victory over Alexander Bublik to sail through to the 2nd round.

Ladbrokes offer the best odds on the 2 times champion to win at 11/2, but odds are shortening on Murray so you’ll need to get in early to get the best return on your stake.

MARIN CILIC - Cilic is another top runner to contend for the Wimbledon Mens Singles trophy.

Although the Croatian has never made it past the quarter-finals in the completion, bookmakers odds are good given that he won the 2014 US Open, and do well at Wimbledon.

William Hill offer the best odds on Cilic at 16/1, and while he may be more of an outsider compared to the top 4, he is a solid player that could surprise a few bookmakers.

As always, bookmakers are offering lots of great betting offers and price boosts for Wimbledon.

Whoever you’re planning on betting on throughout the competition, check back regularly to keep up to date with bookmakers latest betting offers and price boost offers.

Wimbledon: 2017

Wimbledon, the oldest and most prestigious tennis tournament in the world, starts on Monday June 29th and ends with the Men’s Wimbledon Final on Sunday July 12th.

With the tournament just about to start, our Wimbledon betting guide is looking at the Mens Singles Wimbledon market to see which bookmakers offer the best odds and signup offers.

It’s been a mixed year for a lot of the men’s tennis championships, with a few upsets in major tennis tournaments including both the French Open and Australian Open.

British Bookmakers have already decided who their favourites are for the tournament, so let’s take a look at the players you could use bookmaker signup offers on.

NOVAK DJOKOVIC - Defending singles champions Novak Djokovic is determined to claim the title for the second year in a row. The Serbian number 1 is the bookmakers’ favourite to win, even after his recent upset at The French Open where he lost the final to Stan Wawrinka.

Djokovic plays extremely well on grass, and having only lost 3 of his 44 games in 2017, it’s easy to see why bookmakers reckon he’ll win. As one of the years most consistent players, Djokovic is definitely a player you should consider betting on.

The best odds for those betting on Djokovic come from SportingBet who offer odds of 7/5.

ANDY MURRAY - Andy Murray, the current British No 1, is in top form having won his record-equaling 4th trophy at the Aegon Championships at the The Queen's Club in the UK.

The 2013 champion has seemingly gone from strength to strength over the past couple of seasons, and with a strong record at Wimbledon, could be the one to dethrone Djokovic.

For those betting on Murray, you'll need to head over to Ladbrokes as they have him at 5/2.

ROGER FEDERER - Federer won at Halle last weekend, giving him his 86th ATP title. Federer is seeking his eighth Wimbledon championship, having last won the tournament in 2012.

He’s been one of the most consistent players this year and is more suited to playing shorter points, giving him an advantage heading into the this years Wimbledon tournament.

Coral offer the best odds of Federer taking the Mens Singles Wimbledon title at 13/2.

RAFAEL NADAL - Rafael Nadal’s injury concerns seem to have subsided and he’s 100% fit coming into the tournament. Nadal didn’t have a great start to the year losing the French Open Quarter-Final to Novak Djokovic and only making it to the Quarter-Finals in the Australian Open.

Although he hasn’t had great success at Wimbledon in recent tournaments, he has won the most amount of grass court matches in the lead up to Wimbledon.

Top rated bookmaker Bet365 offer the best odds of Nadal winning Wimbledon at 14/1.

STAN WAWRINKA - Swiss player Stan Wawrinka is coming into Wimbledon on the back of a win at the French Open and is in fantastic form. The World number 4 has managed to beat all of the top 10 players and is a good option to a bookmakers signup offers on.

The only thing that may hold Wawrinka back in the competition is the fact that he tends to perform better in tennis tournaments that offer slower playing surfaces.

If you think Wawrinka will win the Mens Singles Wimbledon title then it's Bet365 that you should head over to and bet at as they currently offer him at best odds of at 16/1.

Whoever you plan to bet on throughout Wimbledon, make sure you regularly check our bookmakers betting offers page for all of the latest Wimbledon betting bonuses!

Wimbledon: 2016

After an eventful Quarter-Final, the Mens Singles Wimbledon Semi-Final is now upon us with 3 of the top 4 seeds attempting to reach the Final that's due to be played on Sunday July 12th.

Bookmakers have set their odds and offer plenty of decent signup offers for both Semi-Finals with Djokovic vs Gasquet set to kick off proceedings on Wimbledon's Centre Court.

In the run up to the Mens Singles Wimbledon Semi-Finals, this Wimbledon betting guide is focusing on bookmakers favourites to win Wimbledon as well as which offer the best odds.

The first Semi-Final takes place on Friday July 10th at 1pm with Novak Djokovic [1] playing Richard Gasquet [21] prior to Andy Murray [3] taking on Roger Federer [2].

NOVAK DJOKOVIC - Djokovic, every online bookmakers favourite to win Wimbledon, has made the Semi-Finals for a sixth successive year after beating Marin Cilic in straight sets.

Djokovic is the favourite to win Wimbledon and so his odds aren't great with the best odds coming from Ladbrokes at 8/11. Odds on the Serbian are also shortening so you’ll need to bet early if you want to get bookmakers best odds on Wimbledon.

The best odds you'll find on Djokovic beating Gasquet are with SportingBet at 1/12.

RICHARD GASQUET - Djokovic takes on the 21st seed Richard Gasquet, who caused one of the biggest upsets of the tournament when he knocked out French Open winner Stan Wawrinka.

Gasquet is online bookmakers least favourite to win Wimbledon, which means you’ll get some decent odds on the French player making it through and winning Sunday's Final.

Betfred currently offer the best Wimbledon betting odds at 33/1 while BetVictor are the bookmaker who offer best odds on Gasquet beating the mighty Djokovic at 8/1.

ANDY MURRAY - While Murray is the favourite to win this Semi-Final, Federer has a narrow 12-11 lead over Murray in all competitions and has won the last three times they've met.

Andy Murray beat Vasek Pospisil 3-0 to make it through to the Semi-Finals and is currently best odds at Bet365 to win the Mens Singles Wimbledon title at 3/1.

He’s still showing signs of a shoulder injury that caused him to hit some underpowered shots against Pospisil, and this could cause him some worries in making it to the Final.

The best odds you'll get on Murray beating Federer are 4/5 at Bet365.

ROGER FEDERER - Roger Federer beat Murray in the 2012 Wimbledon Final and is looking to secure another victory against him to make it through to the Wimbledon Final.

At the moment the best odds bookmakers offer on Federer winning the Mens Singles title come from Ladbrokes who offer him at 4/1 to win his Semi-Final and then the Final.

Federer has had a strong tournament to date and could easily win this Semi-Final clash, even though Murray is the favourite to win this tie at most online bookmakers.

Bet365 offer the best odds on Federer beating Murray at 11/10.
